1- enough explosive in his car to take out a sizable portion of the hotel.

2- sheriff stated he felt he had help.

Either someone helped him or the bellhop got a nice tip to help.

That's a lot of luggage to haul into a room for one 64 year old man.

Will be interesting to see surveillance footage from the parking garage

We should have more explosive device controls!

Damn we can't!!
They are completely and totally illegal!

I know! Let's put them on "Double Secret Probation"!

Also, the explosives could have been set off by a gun shot.

Good thing he was smart enough not park a vehicle full of (homemade?) explosives out in the desert sun.

A lot of people felt that, but that doesnt mean that he did.

I think that, given the facts, it's perfectly feasible that he could have pulled it off by himself.

With so many security cams in that hotel, if they arent positive that there was someone else involved, then its hard to think that there was, unless they are just withholding info.

Damn people, give it some time. I don't think they will come out and say it until they know for sure or have suspects in custody.

Well he did send serious money to the Philippines that are known for large numbers of Muslim terrorists and hookers.

In all honesty a 16 year old couldn't blow $100,000 on Philippine hookers during his whole life. Forget a 66 year old mass murderer!

I think so, too. He seemed ready to interview. I'd think he'd be pretty sad and depressed.
It's still early for the pieces to be cohesively put together. This is a subject to not let go of though.
