I'd like to conduct a simple poll requiring only a yes or no answer.

Do you believe the United States of America is the greatest nation in the known history of mankind?

"in the known history of mankind" i might say no. "in the world?" yes.

If we can stay on top another century then i think we could be.

I'm enjoying the party/the top of the food chain, but I know there are issues. I'll get killed for this, but a nutcase said this, and I generally agree with it.

quote:

The US economy, driven by a fiat currency, fractional reserve banking, debt-based financing –- and “doped” with the billions of dollars of drug profits laundered through its corporations and banks –- is a superheated pyramid scheme of infinite growth wherein 5% of the world’s population consumes 25% of the world’s energy and a totally disproportionate share of the world’s diminishing resources and commodities.

Hard for me to comment. Out of ignorance I can say yes, but I just played "name all the countries" on sporcle and named 115/198.

Of the 115 I named I can name probably 2 leaders total and also know about 10 capitals.

If someone new all 198 countries and their pros and cons they can probably answer this better than me.

But I can be ignorant and shout " hell yeah!" If you want me too.

I do like us better than Mexico and any non English speaking country due to culture shock so yes in that regard but that may not be empiracle

Thanks folks for your replies...and yes...this is the greatest country ever known; whether or not it lasts doesn't take away from that.

America probably reached its height around 1998. It was the greatest nation by far. I think Trump can fix it if people will let him.

Vatican City

So much power, so little space.

Nary a dissenting voice.

But you get Michaelangelo, how you gonna compete?

Lol you think there's a finite source of energy and most commodities?
