Republican voters are mostly blaming the failure of the GOP's healthcare bill on Congress, instead of pointing the finger at President Trump or House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.), according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll out Wednesday. Among Republicans in the survey, 26 percent blame the bill's defeat on House Democrats, while another 23 percent say House Republicans are at fault. Only 13 percent blame Trump for the failure, and even fewer, 10 percent, say it's Ryan's fault.

If Ryan lost his seat, that would be sooooo cool. The GOP needs someone with a spine. Ryan hasn't felt right to me since he got the VP bump. Just doesn't seem trustworthy.

Nebulous sentiment against "Congress" is omnipresent and not worth a damn unless it starts translating into booting people's specific incumbents

Breitbart spent the entire primary season puffing up some mini-Trump douche who lost by 70 points.

Breitbart is terrible, so their choice was probably worse than Ryan.

My rep went out of his way to avoid taking a position on AHCA

Guy was probably relieved when it got pulled but I'm under no illusions he would've bucked leadership

I agree. Congress is terrible. Trump, while not perfect, isn't a details guy. He's a big picture guy. He delegates to people who are supposed to know what they are doing to get the details worked out and then he fires those that don't know what they are doing. He probably wishes he could fire Congress for being incompetent.

a certain amount of fidelity is good but these guys are lunatics.

they are the same ones who gleefully said that they thought obama "might" be kenyan.

i blame it on the people that made Sen. Cassidy's town hall a circus, as they gave the impression that opposition was more widespread than it really was.

let's be honest. passing a Republican healthcare plan that does less than Obamacare will lead to losses in Congress. Democrats want single payer bc that wins at the polls nowadays, and now they need to convince swing voters of that.
