This sheriff's # priority, right now, is to protect the vulnerable people in those shelters, with a force that will be stretched to the maximum....maybe (hopefully) his tweet will scare off some people that have proven they can't play within the rules of society.

I guess I get both sides of the argument.
On one hand, you don't want violent criminals who are on the lam in a shelter with vulnerable people.
But, on the other hand, encouraging someone with a warrant for a FTA for a speeding ticket to ride the storm out in an unsafe location is not good either.

It's dumb. There are no "both sides". Just arrest the people who don't need to be around the general public and let the others walk.
