re: Police smell meth, raid home, kill 80-year-old man, find no meth

We need to pass a law requiring all citizens who wear glasses to wear them at all times.

My god, cops are addicted to going after these drugs busts like crazy. I can't wait for the asinine tPOS war on drugs to end.

I watched some program on drug use the other day. Typically, I don't watch that kind of stuff. Anyways, they showed data alleging that, although the use of drugs over the course of decades has remained the same (relatively), the costs of agencies to combat drug use has increased exponentially. Interesting stuff.

The cops are addicted to playing with their toys fast and furiously. Crashing in a door in the early AM when peoples brains are essentially numb gives them an added advantage in addition to all else they have going for them. Were they screaming out loudly to these two people POLICE as they invaded? The pot in their sons room would have been tossed out on charges as it didn't meet the warrant specs.

Nothing at all. Must not have been paying attention when I was typing. I meant "always wrong."

I will say this, if we get a "clean" cops bust in the wrong house and some one gets killed situation, cops need to have harsher punishments than suspension ie Jail time.

Breaking constitutional rights due to "mistake" isn't a good enough excuse to me when you wield that type of power over the citizenry.

Or end the prohibition of products that adults choose to buy....that would end this type of bull shite....but anytime you declare "war" (Thanks Ron and Nancy) you are going to have some innocents get killed.

I wonder what the judge who issued the warrant thinks about this. If he/she has any integrity, he/she should be really pissed that the ccps would lie to get a warrant.

Unless they are a brand spanking new Judge they are so accustomed to being lied to by Police that they woudln't know the truth coming out of one if it ever did. Cops lie constantly and people's rights are stomped on every chance they get.....and most of it involves the prohibition of products that Adults choose to spend their money on. Now if the Tea Party wants an issue that would make a difference this is it....
