Will this help get the jewish vote or will they still vote democrat? I say they still vote democrat. I don't like this pandering.

I don't believe that was the objective. This is just one event amongst many others that are all part of diplomatic relations with Israel.
ETA: this will have more of a positive impact on the Christian vote back home in the U.S. than the Jewish vote.
