Nothing says "Fear the U.S military" like a gay soldier standing next to a tranny wearing nothing but leather underwear.

Deviation from standards to cater to a single group is horeshit.

If I wanted to wear my uniform to a KKK meeting to celebrate white pride it would be frowned upon, when we start catering to a single group over others it's no longer equality or the standard

Another case of the protected groups actuality having MORE freedom and rights than those they whine about.

Why should ANYONE be prevented from using the uniform for individual political statements now?

It's annoying that this is where they decided to be flexible on this.

Beyond that, don't care.

That's a slippery slope (no pun intended).

Wearing a uniform at a political rally is effectively an endorsement of that cause. By doing this, they open the door for those who want to do something really offensive, like wearing the uniform to a Klan rally, to sue the government on the basis of endorsing one viewpoint over another.

Use of the uniform to celebrate a single cause is unbecoming. We represent the entire Republic. We used to remember this. Unfortunately, we have forgotten our oath.

I think it's inappropriate.
I hope they will be separated from the ones simulating sex acts.

I remember AR 670-1 specifically prohibiting wear of the uniform for certain things including public demonstrations. Went to look it up and this is what I see:

quote:

(2) When participating in public speeches, interviews, picket lines, marches, rallies, or public demonstrations, except as authorized by competent authority.

Now, I would question the Pentagon being a "competent" authority to be honest. Wasn't long ago an Army reservist got blasted for showing up to a Ron Paul rally in uniform.

It's amazing how much life imitates art. Specifically Animal Farm where all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others. I'm with Wolfhound on this, we represent a republic, not special groups.

No doubt approved by some Cat Rancher, or better yet , a Lez from the MSC or NC.

Don't like it at all. I wouldn't wear mine to a pro life event.... it's seen as an endorsement. Same with this. It's wrong.

Let's make one thing clear in this discussion: You can't blame this on Obama. He's not president any more.
