Pentagon OKs gay, active military member to wear uniform in Pride parade

Nothing says "Fear the U.S military" like a gay soldier standing next to a tranny wearing nothing but leather underwear.

Deviation from standards to cater to a single group is horeshit.

If I wanted to wear my uniform to a KKK meeting to celebrate white pride it would be frowned upon, when we start catering to a single group over others it's no longer equality or the standard

It's annoying that this is where they decided to be flexible on this.

Use of the uniform to celebrate a single cause is unbecoming. We represent the entire Republic. We used to remember this. Unfortunately, we have forgotten our oath.

I remember AR 670-1 specifically prohibiting wear of the uniform for certain things including public demonstrations. Went to look it up and this is what I see:

Now, I would question the Pentagon being a "competent" authority to be honest. Wasn't long ago an Army reservist got blasted for showing up to a Ron Paul rally in uniform.

It's amazing how much life imitates art. Specifically Animal Farm where all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others. I'm with Wolfhound on this, we represent a republic, not special groups.
