It is time to balance the scales. There needs to be a party realignment, and it is needed badly.

There is virtually no big difference between the DEMe and the GOPe - for all intents and purposes they are one (uni)Party and should simply merge into one. Maybe party centrists and Indy centrists candidate make a go of it together.

The GOP Right is ripe to do a mind meld with like-minded Libertarians, populists, nationalists, independents and assorted minor conservative Constitution parties. They need to do this and form one cohesive party.

The Dem Prog/Left wants to bolt from the DEMe. Let em' and then get together with the anarchists, socialists, Communists, Greens, leftie Libertarians and Indies to form some kind of single voice party.

The time is ripe!

What part of "like-minded" do you not grasp? Too nuanced for you?

hard pass

and I doubt libertarians are going to be keen to team up with "Lord over us, oh Trump" populists and nationalists.

Here's a clue, I put in bold the part that indicates you're cluelessness - and it wasn't "like-minded".

Is putting text in bold too nuanced for you?

No charge for the clue.

Was going to post this

Right Leaning libertarians have quite a bit more in common with lefty progs than some realize.

But a 4 party system might actually be better for the country overall.

The bolded groups are anathema to the italicised ones.

The repubs...as they are now..are far too liberal/left. They need to move hard right. They're practically hippies now.

Could you define this? Please?

For example, most posters on this board have fallen in love with Le Pen and the FN, even though her economic policy is to the left of Bernie Sanders.

A clue for you, WT:

"like-minded" is in relationship with each of the following:
"Libertarians, populists, nationalists, independents and assorted minor conservative Constitution parties."

I know that thought must stretch your little box world view, but embrace the new concept. It would do you some good.

The establishment repubs are far too liberal/left for the mainstream population. Not much more complicated or nuanced than that. JFK couldn't get elected today. The republican status quo would call him an extremist.

2016 was a realignment election, at least in the Midwest and sun belt suburbs

An election where the republican wins Trumbull Ohio but loses fort bend tx is a realignment
