Widow was obviously being coached by Wilson to lie, now they're in deep and still trying to go forward with this even though public opinion is not nearly anywhere near their side

My father died unexpectedly. Called my mother just before lunch on a Friday, was in a coma 30 minutes later. Withdrew life support Monday afternoon. My mother was lost - that's the best way to explain it. I had to hold her together. That reasonably lasted for weeks. So, people in this situation are almost just on autopilot and some are just parroting what they've been told to say and do. It is disgusting that someone would try to manipulate a widow but I've seen it happen with my own eyes.
Furthermore, when you're in that state, you take things differently. (I've said this on here before, but it warrants repeating.) When the doctors spoke with the entire family at the hospital, I found them to be very respectful and professional. My uncle was ready to fight one of them. We all heard the same words, we all saw the same level of concern from the doctors, but we all took it differently. My mother was somewhat comforted by their respect to our religious views; my grandmother thought they shouldn't have said anything about that; my brother was indifferent; my uncle was angered.
There are a million different emotions flowing through you at that point ... and I'll add this: If you've been told/conditioned to despise someone, and they call you at this time to talk about the death of a loved one, no matter how compassionate they are, you will still resent their call. I think this empty barrel took advantage of this and is using this woman. Makes me sick.

Mostly Pavlovian.
The level of their Indoctrination is really magnificent. I could hardly replicate it without having them in my Isolation Facility for at least a couple of years using extended daily sessions and treatment. These specimens are really marvelous.

Nobody thinks Trump called to make this widow cry. He wanted to say something. He wanted to console her.
But he was advised not to do so. His words were...inartful. It’s a delicate situation when anyone dies. What a casualty officer says to a general that just lost their son in battle leaves room for a little more candidness then what he speaks to a widow, pregnant, with two young children.
It was a tough situation, one that admittedly many of Trump’s predecessors have chosen to handle differently. This too played into his decision to call. Maybe he wanted to prove he was better than them? Maybe he had more sincere motives.
It was just a call with good intentions that went bad.
The dispute about it, between him, Wilson, and Kelly is even worse.
And now calling the widow a liar to protect his reputation is off the rails just obscene. The president has not felt any loss in this situation. Surely, even in the remote chances this widow is lying like crazy, one could say she is distraught mentally, and she be given the benefit of the doubt

So you know the truth, idiot. Yes it sucks That he has to so this repeatedly, but otherwise you would not know the truth.
This widow is black and now has been "gotten" by the left and their agenda.
If Trump called me to offer condolences and would actually happen to forget my name, or my son's, I would chalk it up to him being the busiest man in the free world and having a LOT going on.
The point is that I recieved a call from the top person, very single word of our dialog wouldn't be directed by me. It the part of the acknowledgement that matters

Trump isn’t calling her a liar. And good for him. But his supporters are.
Look. The call went bad. How is this hard to believe?
Doesn’t Trump say a lot of messed-up, untrue, and hurtful things?
How is this hard to believe that a condolence call went bad on him? Think about this for a second: the widow is saying ‘yes it was bad, I cried, he didn’t remember name’. Trump is saying the call went well, as if to say, ‘I called a widow who lost her husband, and I feel much better.’
How is it possible to express your condolences to someone and then tell everyone it was a good call, when you aren’t the bereaved? How does that work?
