You made the point that he's just trying to push a frivolous lawsuit. Whether he is or not, his letter affirmed the opposite.
You seem like you've got a solid grasp on US law, in addition to basic rationality.

I was providing a non-legal response to your non-legal statement based on the text of the letter that was in the OP for everyone to read, including yourself. I wasn't arguing the truthfulness or validity of his statement, only the plain text of it, which contradicted what you said.

Even if he has a legal case, this is awful form. I'm MAGA, want to believe the Seth Rich tinfoil, and hope Kim has the goods. All of that said, him being a whiny titty baby about being defamed is hilarious given that he made a lot of his money from facilitating copyright infringement.

Well, unintentionally, you did argue that.

I summarized what he said in his statement, not whether or not what he said was factual.

Iosh said: "The best way to help a grieving family is a frivolous lawsuit."

His statement was contradicted by the statement of KDC, who specifically stated that he had grounds for a defamation suit but is not proceeding in order to work together with the family.

I don't know whether or not he has grounds as he claims, but he mentioned several times that he is not proceeding with a "frivolous lawsuit", as Iosh was saying, and that was my point.

CorporateTiger already laid this out for you. I won't steal his work, or rehash it.

His letter is believable. More believable than the IC and the media, certainly.

And I believe the family is being intimidated into squashing the conspiracy theory.

Helping the grieving family, while important, is not the top priority for those investigating the murder. This should be common sense.

Also, it's extremely disingenuous for you to pretend like you care about the family. You don't give a shite. You just don't like the political implications of the investigation...so you pretend it's about the family.

Honestly, those who use the family as an excuse are much worse than those who simply think the investigation is important enough to continue.
