Watched this last night. Pretty fascinating. I thought it was particularly interesting when Putin spoke about how close to war we came when they targeted and buzzed the USS Donald Cook last spring.

For your recollection

It does make one wonder why the Donald Cook was in the area.

It certainly gives pause to just how tenuous our relationship with Russia is Day to Day.

Will have to revisit that episode.

I'm not surprised by the state of poor relations with Russia. They have been our outright enemies or at least the bogeyman for more than half a century.

And I know the difference between Russia and the Soviet Union.

I don't get Showtime, D; but I really would like to watch that interview. I like Stone. He is not anti-Trump. He Directed Trump sometime back; says that Trump "is still acting". Hell, anybody with any degree of self-awareness (Intellect) IS and 'actor' of sorts. I.e., making educated choices as opposed to Natural responses.

I suspect that the Putin's response "close to war", was an 'art of the deal' marker...meant for Trump/Congressional Hawks.

Thanks. Keep us posted.

One of my cucked friends on Facebook criticized this today. He is of the Bill Kristol, Jeb Bush ilk and is 100% "muh Russians" and #NeverTrump.

I'm 2 episodes in. Besides Stone fawning all over him, it's been pretty great. I said in another thread yesterday that I've been most struck by Putin driving himself around lol

We were 70 nautical miles and they do that. They go up and down our seaboard at 30 nautical miles and claim muh International Waters. Didn't see us buzzing them.

If your friend is a Bill Kristol type, he probably loves Israel more than his own country.

Putin is a very direct guy. I'm sure 50% of what he says is bullshite...but it is admittedly hard to decipher what is BS. When you throw in how dishonest our news media and government has become, it is hard to know what is real and what is not.
