DETROIT (WWJ/AP) – It’s official: The majority of Michigan voters elected Donald Trump to be the nation’s next president.

According to election totals, Trump won Michigan by .28 percent of the vote — roughly 13,000 votes.

“The vote was 47.59 to Trump and 47.31 for Hillary Clinton,” WWJ Lansing Bureau Chief said live on WWJ Newsradio. “The 16 electoral votes for Michigan go to Donald Trump and the Republicans, the first time that’s happened since 1988.”

It's fricking incredible to me that Hillary's campaign, a world class presidential campaign with mountains upon mountains of money and top of the line blue chip campaign talent staffers and pollsters had no fricking idea the entire rust belt from Pennsylvania to Minnesota was in play and not a case of Ohio simply not being a bellewether anymore.

But then again liberal posters on here said shite like this when Trump was stumping there....

quote:

She will win each and every one of the blue states. This is an effective strategy to keep Trump out of Florida and NC. Make him think she's worried over MI, so he spends more time there. It's about deception. ...

I think the very earliest they finally realized that the rust belt was in play was late last week, and by then it was too late and the electorate was already baked in.

Appears that way. Earlier pre election numbers had Clinton getting at least 350. That would have Trump getting 188. So yeah, I think that is landslide worthy. For those wanting to dispute and bring in the overall vote totals, as someone said yesterday, you campaign differently for electoral votes in which states you need for a win.

You're right. I knew I should have turned the light on before using that pen and paper. Will go back and edit. Proves the case even more. Thanks.

I find it funny that when you look at the election taking the black vote away it's always a landslide. I mean when 95% is baked in without any thought or reason it really doesn't count.

I recall the media saying when she was campaigning in red states that she was trying to stretch her total and turn them blue. But when Trump went to Michigan, Penn, Wisconsin, etc., they said his internal numbers in some of his base states must be poor and he was getting desperate.

On Wednesday night, Kellyanne was asked, "At what point last night did you realize you were going to win Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, NC, Florida and the election?"

She replied, "About two and a half weeks ago."

It was at that point Trump went into overdrive on the rallies.

If I recall it was on either Bret B on FNC or Stuart V on FBN

Nice comeback. Thing is, she said it with a straight face and not a face with the expression "I hope". Confidence man. This team has it.

Just think what the Democrats could have done in Detroit; Milwaukee; Philadelphia if they would have dreamed these states would have been close.

Are libs gonna continue to pound the table about the popular vote?

Because it's very likely Trump would also win that too in a landslide if the absentee ballots were counted.

Hell, California's absentee votes alone would easily be enough to sway the popular vote for Trump.

I was watching her on MSNBC on Tuesday evening. They are her if trump had a chance in Michigan and she said "oh we will win Michigan" and she was dead serious. It was at that point I started to get excited.
