This one baffles me the most.

40 percent of those 18-29 years old would rather be an assistant to a celebrity than a CEO of a major corporation.

Has celebrity worship always been this bad and I have been sheltered from it?

we just elected one to be president and some around her refer to him as "god emperor" . My guess is those aren't millennials either

It's the liberal way dude. Celebrity worship is no different than politician worship. The same type of people who want to celebrity assistants are the same that want to work at federal agency in the beltway or work on a campaign or be a congressional staffer. They believe success is being close enough to tough the robes of their heroes as opposed to actually making something of themselves. It's like aspiring to the bat boy on an MLB team instead of actually playing on it.

It's sad.

They don't want real responsibility. They just want to be paid to do trite things and party.

Hmmm, my guesses:

a. Being a CEO would seem like a really scary responsibility to young people. They are not looking forward; they are thinking about now.

b. I'd like to see the gender breakdown. Women bought 'movie star' magazines 100 years ago. They were obsessed with celebrity. Men are not.

When I do this I'm mainly just doing it to piss off Liberals. I in no way think Trump is a God or an Emperor, though he is bigly.

40% is less than half and I'd rather be a ceo.

I'm 26.

But if I got to be an assistant and get paid great and got to live the celebrity life style I guess it's not a bad back up. (I've never considered this as a job and have no idea what it entails)

I was referring to the fact that Trump is a celebrity turned politician with the "twofer" comment. Also, just so happens that millennials (who are so obsessed with celebrity) didn't vote Trump into office. I just thought it slightly ironic, considering.

I suppose most would probably get into a role of being a celebrity assistant and realize it's not as glamorous as they'd imagine. The perks and travel may be nice at times, but ultimately, you're there as an invisible person running someone else's life, not living it.

Truth be told I would think it would be higher than it was. I also think that would be for any generation. CEO of a major corporation is an absolute ton of work that I think most people wouldn't really want to do.

This seems to be a common characteristics I see in the millies. Limited ability to think or plan ahead.

The baby boomers didn't think or plan ahead very much either.
