I don't have a plan to properly respond yet

it would be interesting to compare it to bush, to see if its just presidential fatigue with the democratic base.

Polling means little to me - I am fully aware of how stupid the average American is.

We have at least 17% of the population that don't deserve to waste precious oxygen.

Agree, but that Strong Disapproval figure of 39% is pretty startlingly high

This polling is why Democrat Senators up for re-election like Mary Landrieu are avoiding President Obama like the plague. We'll have to wait and see in November if the discontent with him carries over to other Democrats. I'm not optimistic about the Republicans being able to energize voters and capitalize on the sentiments expressed in the Gallup polling.

Everyone that stood with him these last six years, especially through the ACA, needs to burn at the stake beside him. Obama is only the face of the problem. Each and every person that helped him along the way are guilty of treason, IMO and should have to give up their citizenship.

Well judging by the approval rate overall by democrats we know who the culprits are. Simply unbelievably blind to reality.

Three percent of Repubs strongly approve. Hmmm. I guess that accounts for guys like asurob, our friendly neighborhood republican. I'd be curious to know what areas they strongly approve.

If anyone in that 17% is a poster here, could you tell us why you strongly approve of him as the leader of the free world?
edit: if you get a monthly check from the government of any kind, please disregard this request

i did some googling, and i can't find intensity.
But GWB was below 44% approval rating (obama's current) from 2006-08.

I think Obama has actually done a decent job on foreign policy (especially compared with the disaster that was George W. Bush) but I certainly don't approve of his performance as President when taken as a whole.
I'd slightly disapprove of him at this point while I strongly disappoved of Bush as a whole.
The worst 3 presidents of my lifetime are
Bush II
Carter
Obama
in that order. The best are Reagan and Clinton and Bush I.
Iraq war was the worst decision of any President in my lifetime and we'll be feeling the effects of this disaster for another 10 years or so.

Here it is boys!
From about the 1200 day mark on, Bush and Obama have been eerily similar in terms of overall popularity.

Where's Obama's OBL bump? I thought he would have hit like 65% for a bit after that?
Also, I'd love to see our last 2-term presidents Clinton and Reagan's numbers as well.

My thoughts are that this country is too divided and there are too many people that base their approval on the party. How could anyone have "strongly" approved or disapproved after only 6 months into his presidency? That's pure partisanship, and it seems Democrats tend slightly more towards this type of thinking than republicans.

yes, if 9/11 hadn't happened, they would be almost identical.

It's that little spike right after the 800-day mark. It regressed to the original baseline in a matter of weeks.

Give me a few and I'll post those.
