Jason Chaffee, the Republican from the 3rd Congressional District of Utah, who went hard after Hillary Clinton and Benghazi, receives his parting FU from President Obama when he unilaterally declares 1.5 million Acres of land in southern Utah a national monument. The entire area around these twin peaks comprises a few hundred acres, but Obama decided to FU to Chaffetz and the people of Utah, declaring 1.5 million Acres now off limits, preventing mineral exploration in a large swath of land he had no good reason to protect.

All this land sits within Utah's 3rd Congressional District. Chaffetz's district.

Obama is a petty, petulant arse.

Correct. This is what happens when you elect a professional activist to the office.

Trump has a pen as well.
Trump will rescend the order, and Utah will be sorry that they ran one of their own against the benevolent emperor.

Chaffetz YouTube Interview on the matter 2:25
Saw this a couple of days ago. He mad, and now he has to patch things up with Trump after being one of the first to pull his endorsement after the "P**** grab" comment.

It doesn't work that way. Obama used the Antiquities Act to do this. The challenge will be over whether Obama acted out of line with the conditions required in the act. Since the act doesn't stipulate that a future president can rescind a previous president's proclamation, any action made by Trump would be challenged in court and likely go all the way to the Supremes for a final decision.

Southern Utah has some of the most beautiful landscape in the US. If not the world. Praise Obama for protecting this.

Find another part of the country to do your drilling.

WTF? There are about 10,000 of these formations in New Mexico, Arizona and Utah. What makes this one so unique?

Trump and Congress will erase this and the rest of the shite stains Obama has left on the presidency.

And, you know, my wife, Julie and I, we've got a 15-year-old daughter. Do you think I can look her in the eye and tell her that I endorse Donald Trump for President when he acts like this in his apology?" Chaffetz said at the time.

No fricknuts, I'm not trolling.

I just got back from a week in New Mexico. There's literally rock formations like that all over.

Maybe you should get out more.

No, they were left by Native Americans, not by the Europeans.
