For only hiring US citizens.

Don't most countries require you to prove that you can sustain yourself prior to be approved for immigration?

Why do we cloud these issues that seem simple enough?

Who is clouding anything? The Sheriff's department admitted their mistake. Non-citizens live and work in the US in nearly every profession.

Non-citizens shouldn't be cops.

My comment is really about allowing immigration to this country without the ability to support themselves.

I looked into immigrating into some Caribbean countries and the ones I looked into required proof that you could support yourself.

That makes sense to me.
