If only George Zimmerman was around 35 years ago.

"I'm willing to guarantee that at least 90% of Obama's racism comes from his racist wife Michelle.

That bitch is bitter and racist as all get out."

I don't think you are giving Valerie Jarret enough credit

Too sad he wasn't, 'cause we'd have missed all this fun stuff since he's been in office.

You know, it's always about him somehow?

There is no sympathy towards the Zimmerman family who is receiving death threats etc. his hypothesis is completely skewed.

an amazing and moving speech. i applaud the president to have the courage to speak so truthfully about race relations in the country and to open up and share his past experiences. the responses to this trial has shown how racially divided the country still is and the struggles that african americans still experience.

I agree wholeheartedly. Furthermore, I hope that our Selfless President continues to speak on these issues. I hope that Obama continues to Heal the Wounds of this Heartbroken Nation over this high-tech lynching of Trayvon Martin.

And finally, I hope that AG Holder prosecutes GZ so that Hispanics can learn a little bit more about what they voted for.

How do you know that Obama has gone too far, for even Obama?

Wolf Blitzer just said on CNN that he hates to say it but Obama was wrong and he should have stuck to "The courts have spoken."

Why do thugs think it is okay to attack someone with impunity whenever they feel they have been wronged or disrespected?

Perhaps what the President and the Left is agitating in favor of is a change in the law such that some politically favored groups should have some leeway to act violently when they have been disrespected in an Historically Abhorrent manner.

he's gotta give a little support before telling people that there won't be federal charges and to please not riot and cause more death and property damage this weekend during the vigils.

if Trayvon Martin was of age and armed, could he have stood his ground on that sidewalk?

You think Obama posed an appropriate question in raising "stand your ground" in this context?

Obama is just trying to use white guilt to distract from all of his scandals.

It really is pathetic.

No surprise here, Anyone with half a fricking Brain could see in 08 that Obama was and is nothing but a POS racist. He is in the same category with Sharpton and Jackson.

I still don't know what Black people are wanting and until the majority of crime isn't done by Black thrash,I will continue to profile their asses.

So first Trayvon Martin could have been his son.

Now he could have been HIM?

re: Obama weighs in again on Trayvon Martin

If you actually listened to what he said you'd have seen he didn't criticize the verdict. I doubt 99% of the posters in this thread listened to his statement. What he did will lessen the impact of the DOJ's ultimate decision which will be not to pursue this case. He let those upset know that he hears them. He let you know why people are upset although I doubt you'll listen. It was a statement not from a teleprompter and not for political reasons because he knows the reaction from many. He did it because no one better is able to address this and IMO his statement was just what this country needed to move on. It was historical. And you can bash and cry and whine all you want but you're wrong and history will show you're wrong.

How about he just shuts the frick up? You know, stays out of it? Lets it die a natural death?

Even commenting at all does nothing but fan the flames. If he doesn't know that already, he damn well should.

re: Obama weighs in again on Trayvon Martin
He could have made great strides if he would have even just once mentioned having an internal conversation in the black community's regarding the strength of family. He instead insinuated we needed a govt program for black males..the template to success is much simpler and his rationale insinuates black teens are indeed of lesser value as they can't improve their lot without the govt..sad

Growing up and making my home in two of the most dangerous cities in America (N.O. and B.R.), I credit racial profiling for the reason I'm still alive.
