One President got in office around the time when our economy was collapsing. THe other didn't.
Once again you are wrong. When Bush II took office we were already in a recession. Before he could get legislation passed to address it, 9/11 happened. During that time Unemployment rose a max of 6.3% (June 2003). It's taken the current President almost 4 years just to get it back down to 7.8%, and that lasted for only one month before jumping back up. Not only that, but there's absolutely nothing on the horizon that is projecting a drop in Unemployment anytime soon.
The Senate was controlled by the GOP for about 6 of the 8 years Reagan was in office.
You're right, I was bled some of GBI's years in there. My bad.
You just got busted spouting nonsense about who controlled the Senate when Reagan was President.
And unlike you, Priscilla, I am man enough to admit when I make a mistake.
If you want to blame Obama for spending the past 4 years, the Reagan and Bush get credit for the debt in the 80's and Bush in the earlier part of this decade. You have to decide because the GOP is complicit in this debt situation no matter how sensitive you are to those charges.
Absolutely Reagan and Bush are complicit in the debt during the 80's. Just as GWB is complicit for the debt during his terms. But all of their deficit spending together still fall short of Obama's deficit spending.
For the mathematically challenged, Reagan+BushI+BushII = -4T in deficit spending over 20 years. Obama = -5T in only 4 years. It's yours, Tammy. Own it.
