Obama getting involved in the election process via executive order

LINK

quote:

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, and in order to promote the efficient administration of Federal elections and to improve the experience of all voters, it is hereby ordered as follows:

quote:

In doing so, the Commission shall consider as appropriate:

(i) the number, location, management, operation, and design of polling places;

(ii) the training, recruitment, and number of poll workers;

(iii) voting accessibility for uniformed and overseas voters;

(iv) the efficient management of voter rolls and poll books;

(v) voting machine capacity and technology;

(vi) ballot simplicity and voter education;

(vii) voting accessibility for individuals with disabilities, limited English proficiency, and other special needs;

(viii) management of issuing and processing provisional ballots in the polling place on Election Day;

(ix) the issues presented by the administration of absentee ballot programs;

(x) the adequacy of contingency plans for natural disasters and other emergencies that may disrupt elections; and

(xi) other issues related to the efficient administration of elections that the Co-Chairs agree are necessary and appropriate to the Commission's work.

No dangers here.

Further evidence Obama is a direct threat to this nation and our liberty.

This should scare the hell out of you.

Anyone hear about this from the mainstream media????

I don't think the US Constitution provides Obama the power to control polling location processes.

I guess Obama wants to federalize the election process.

I am pretty sure a lot of that falls under the control of the states. But it does not surprise me that Obama is doing everything he can to control the election process.

Dictators gonna dictate.

I give it about a 25% chance that Obama will try to stay beyond his second term.

I'm starting to wonder how long it will be before he starts attempting to void actual parts of the Constitution via executive fiat. I mean, hey, he views it as a fundamentally flawed document to begin with.

The guy has designs on dictatorship. I'm truly beginning to believe that.

The liberals will come on here and say you are overreacting, and it will never come to this.

Meanwhile they will forget the following:

1) There is no way, Obama would mandate private individuals to buy a government product.
2) There is no way Obama would take over a private car maker.
3) There is no way that Obamacare would negatively effect healthcare.
4) There is no way that healthcare costs will rise during Obamacare
5) There is no way that the economy would suffer under Obamacare
6) There is no way that Obamacare would increase the cost of healthcare while simultaneously decrease the quality of healthcare.
7) There is no way that Dr.'s will retire early as a result of Obamacare.
8) Obamacare is not a tax, and is purely optional.

Any more to add, liberals?

That's because, like most of us, they want to believe that "it can't happen here". And if it WERE to happen, it would have to be a conservative who seizes the reigns of power illegitimately. It could NEVER be one of their own.

Never mind that incrementally, one of their own is doing it right before their eyes.

Haha, he doesn't want the R's using some of his tactics in the future. Good for him.

Wow. So you adhere to Obama usurping his powers as long as the other side does not do it as well?

The foundation is being laid for an eventual permanent takeover by obama-like politicians. Once they control the voting process, they control the results of the process. People who dont think these power hungry evil people will manipulate the voting process and results are in a state of denial. Open your eyes and its painfully obvious what obama is up to.

I wrote earlier today that NO ONE should ignore his own stated desires for dictatorial powers.

Let's not forget he co opted the census, whose results determine congressional seats, back in 2009.
