Nothing. This kind of thing gives him street cred in the eyes of his liberal peers. That's all it is.

If I refused to leave my place of employment after having been fired, the Police would come and escort me out.

Why is this clown not being given the same treatment?

I could be wrong but they were told to resign. So he will likely be fired shortly.

Another example of Obama's Deep State authoritarians refusing to take orders from higher command.
Banana republic shite again.

It was Sessions's request for resignation. I love seeing the libs on Twitter acting like this is unprecedented. Such a joke.

Given that Trump had apparently personally told him he was staying on he probably wants Trump to clarify that he lied.

So he thinks he is still working. He must be determined to qualify for SSI Disability for his mental disease.

Maybe once the payroll direct deposits stop and auto pay bills continue he'll figure out: 1+1 = You're fired!

Love to see the reaction of a good attorney if this guy attempts to act with any type of authority while he's no longer employed.

ETA: Not a lawyer but just suppose the hypothetical, he has "the smoking gun" on DJT in some sort of electronic data gathered already, as unemployed person wouldn't he be breaking chain of custody and tainting the evidence?

Because he wasn't fired.

I am curious how this shakes out. I always thought the asking for a resignation thing was odd.

It is a courtesy afforded to a professional from a professional. When it breaks down it is a sign that you are short one professional.

He was fired.

Preet Bharara @PreetBharara
I did not resign. Moments ago I was fired. Being the US Attorney in SDNY will forever be the greatest honor of my professional life.
