In a word, yes.

Christian ethics produce a lot of positive, practical outcomes to humanity. As those practices start being ignored and moral relativism is embraced, you find more people acting according to their own base desires, even to their own destruction and the destruction of others.

It's a political talk show and his intro specifically targets people that watched him years ago.

You want it to target kids so you can be outraged, but that's simply not the case.

Exactly. Who fricking cares?

I wonder how many scientists watch his show and take notes before they head to work...

Well, if they are "scientists" like Bill Nye, that includes everyone from pre-K to the end of college.

That's a lot of pendejos.

What can influence future culture, values, and understanding among citizens is always a point for concern, regardless of what the message is. It is important to know what exactly kind of gestalt is likely to be shared going forward. In terms of actual legislation/restriction, though, I would agree.

The only people I see promoting Nye are people who are outraged by what he says/does/supports. He's hardly a torch bearer for people seriously interested in science.

When it comes to degeneracy, if you've lost the aggies, you've lost America.

Complete aside from the vile content, what about the production itself? They could have found someone who could sing and dance better than that at any karaoke bar in America. And the awkward, non-flowing lyrics were just horrific.

Legislation for silencing Nye would be the most hypocritical thing I've ever seen on this board.

Mocking him, now that I'm game for.

Expressing concern over his influence, yeah that's a legit conversation. Without watching more the five seconds of the linked video, all I ask is that if someone dons the moniker "scientist", as some form of validation for their message (even if that validation is only implied and not explicitly stated), they should limit the topics of their conversation to their field of study.

He is a torch bearer for the lowest common denominator.

Sure, but misrepresting the situation does no good.

I've already seen dozens of clips from his show shared on FB, not to the tune of outrage, but to the tune of glee. I don't think it would be wise to classify his show solely as an outrage machine, much like it shouldn't be classified as some 'omg look at this' stamp of approval.

Not that it's a democratic process, but if stays the Drug Eating Agency can we get some cookbooks for different edibles?

Perhaps. The words "lost cause" come to mind. The next shiny ball will pick up the torch after Nye's popularity again recedes .

They've produced a lot of negative results as well. We're getting to a point in our history where we're no longer primitive enough to need religion.
