quote:

The hate and the division must stop, and must stop right now.

It has no place in America.

No citizen should ever fear for their safety and security in our society. And no child should ever be afraid to go outside and play or be with their parents and have a good time.

Above all else, we must remember this truth, no matter our color, creed, religion or political party, we are all Americans first.

We must love each other, respect each other and cherish our history and our future together.

Racism is evil, and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans.

We are a nation founded on the truth that all of us are created equal. We are equal in the eyes of our creator, we are equal under the law and we are equal under our constitution. Those who spread violence in the name of bigotry, strike at the very core of America.

I thought what took place was a horrible moment for our country, a horrible moment.

This is the kind of person who has the temperament to lead this country in tumultuous times.

Any guesses who it is?

Nice sentiment, too bad it's entirely untrue. Our country was born of violence and distrust of those not like us. Those are just facts.

Ask the native siberians
ask the chinese
ask the blacks
ask the jews
ask the Poles
Ask the Japanese
Ask the Cubans
Ask the Russians

well you get the point.

Krauthammer put it best. That was a hostage tape.

Which do you think is his true opinion? The prepared statement written by someone in the WH or what he said yesterday?

Trump said those words. It didn't matter because he pointed out antifa had some bad dudes (they do).

Trump. But after that he also mentioned that ANTIFA engaged in violent acts in Charlottesville and that not everyone protesting the removal of the statues were white supremacists proving that Trump is in fact a white supremacist sympathizer.

Nope.

The correct message should be...

The violence committed in Charlottesville is unacceptable in any society, especially in one such as the United States with our great traditions and Constitutionally guaranteed rights.
Those who have committed such acts of violence should be punished according to the full measure of the law

We have a great country and a great tradition of rights guaranteed by our Constitution.

Three of those most fundamental rights are the right to protest, freedom to assemble, and the right of free speech.

Many may not agree with the speech that some may say or espouse, but we all have guaranteed to us, the right of idiots and hatemongers to show their true colors without fear of violence or imprisonment. Public scorn by the use of others free speech should be sufficient to humiliate them and sway others to the correct cause.

What we saw this last week is a travesty and flies against our best traditions and guaranteed rights.
Some of the most offensive among us exercised their right to be offensive.
Instead of receiving the proper public shaming of their ideas we instead witnessed an even more egregious affront to our liberties.

Another group decided they had a non-constitutional right to take away another groups rights and started violence to get their way.

We should abhor the racists and their speech, but those who actually take away others rights by violence deserve at least the same place in hell if not +1

That statement wasn't enough for the left. They asked why he didn't say more...so he did. Left didn't like that either. So, please explain how he can win with them. Truth is you can't.

Answer:

Trump

The paragraph in the OP are excerpts of his comments from Saturday, Monday, and the Tuesday presser.

I'd say there's a slight disconnect between what Trump has said and the media's portrayal of it.

Of course. That's how partisan politics works. Now he'll say he's not partisan. Just a moderate doing God's work.
