My opinion is we should deport illegals on some scheduled basis like, oh, let's say, every time we catch one we send them back to their own country.
That's idiotic and would cost a fortune, and the problem isn't really with immigrant movement, but what is drawing them here: open access to public assistance. We all benefit from their cheap labor, and they make more money than they would at home. Our current immigration policies encourages illegal entry because it's such a giant pain in the ass.
Ideally adult aged immigrants would come and work here for a short time and then return home. Right now it's hard not to bring their families because we'll feed them, educate them and give them better health services than they could ever get in their country.
And yes, I use to be one of those mouth breathing "WE NEED TO DEPORT EM BECAUSE THEY'RE ILLEGAL" types, but that was before I pulled my head out of my arse and looked at the situation critically, and realized that these weren't rats or roaches I was talking about. These were human beings just seeking a better life. Who can fault them for that? a-holes. That's who.
