Finally someone who makes sense.
LINK

"The biggest problem Obama faces is climate change? How can he say that?" Giaever asked. "I say this to Obama: 'Excuse me, Mr. President, but you're wrong.' He is dead wrong...

"So global warming really starts with these two people: Al Gore and [former United Nations climate head Rajendra] Pachauri," Giaever continued. "And what they did - they made this curve popular...And what did this curve measure? Well, this curve measures what is the average temperature for the world for a whole year...For one year. So there's an average temperature for the whole Earth for one year and that measures in a fraction of a degree.

"So what does that mean? I think probably nothing. Let me talk about that again: From 1880 to 2015, the temperature has increased from 288 K [degrees Kelvin] to 288.8 K - 0.3 percent. I think the temperature has been amazingly stable.

"If I take where I live in Albany, New York, there is roughly an 80 K difference between summer and winter at some time, so would you think that a 0.8 degree average on the Earth makes any difference to the climate in Albany? Is that sensible to you?...

"I would say that global warming basically is a non-problem. Just leave it alone, it will take care of itself,” he added.

Take your time and scroll down through this and enjoy the milestones of humanity and see if you agree it will take care of itself. But I don't think it's the top issue right now. Too much other shite going on right now.

EDIT - instead of downvoting, how about take an objective look at the link?

EDIT 2 - 34 downvotes and a single lame challenge. Lol. Cmon guys. Just because the party line says it's not real doesn't mean it's the right call. If you go with everything you're told by politicians, you're no better than the Dems.

Giaevar has apparently been the subject of ridicule for years, because despite constantly reinforcing the rhetoric that he knows very little about climate, he is unabashedly critical of the idea of climate change. FYI, he won the Nobel in physics like 40+ years ago.

How long ago was that you won a Nobel prize in physics? I am sure you are a better source of info about climate change but just want to get your resume before I just decide to believe you.

I'm sure he hasn't kept up with anything related to physics since.

So, he's barely a middle school moron today? Good to know.

What I do know is that he's not politically compromised like IPCC and all the other non-Nobel winners who have been bought off/coerced into this transparent wealth redistribution scheme.

How much do you think the laws of physics have changed in over 40 years?

He's a materials physicist that's worked on semiconductors. Not exactly in the same realm of climate science. This is not to say he's not a bright guy... simply to say that when he's going head-to-head (contrarily) with a huge number of other very, very bright folks who actually live in the realm of climate science; you have to take pause.

Oh never mind I was taking this guy's opinion seriously for a second. Thanks for clarifying that he's a fricking moron.

Climate change is real but it will not be a disaster. It's overhyped for political purposes.

Are you allowed to live in the realm of climate science and say that man-made climate change isn't a big deal?

Oh yeah - well, Obama won a Nobel Prize too - for being black and reading shite other people wrote!

So there!

Do people really not get that winning a Nobel Prize in one field doesn't make you an expert in all fields? You know Obama won a Nobel, right? Is he just as credentialed to be an expert as climate scientists? What about Bob Dylan?

This guy's field (material physics) is as close to climate science as a sculptor is to a musician.

He added that the "optimal temperature" for the globe has never been establsihed.

“What is the optimal temperature for the Earth? Is it the temperature we have right now? That would be a miracle.” he said. “Maybe it’s two degrees warmer. Maybe it’s two degrees colder. No one has told me what the optimal temperature is for the whole Earth.”
How many times have we asked this of the global warming nuts?

And they never have an answer.

How anyone can argue that the world is not getting warmer and a VASTLY increased rate compared to historical rates is beyond me.

The CAUSE of it is not completely clear or prove-able. I believe it's due to humans, but others make cases against it. It is a very large problem, as it will affect civilization in 1000s of ways and a lot of them unforeseen.

btw the majority of that .8K rise in temperature has happened in the last 50 years..something he left out. The rate at which the earth is warming is 10 times faster than anything seen in the last 2 million years.

It is a problem. Let's stop arguing whether it's real or not and focus on a solution to bring down CO2 emissions.

Voted Trump proubly..the ONLY issue I didn't agree with him on is his hinting that global warming isn't real.
