He cites Robert Taft, one of the last "classical conservatives" of last century and says supporting the push for increased states rights is " radical";goes on to say Taft and other classical conservatives would turn over in their graves at what is deemed as conservative nowadays.

Chomsky is brilliant in his field.

He should stay in it

Cause his political ideas and thinking is borderline retarded

Noam Chomsky is a literal communist/syndicalist.

You actually listen to what he has to say about politics?

Being an expert on language doesn't make you an expert on societal issues.

So Federalism, the basis for our Constitution, is "radical" according to this nutbag?

GFY, Noam.

Chomsky has always been NPR's go to commie.

He is a perfect example of what is wrong with college education. He has never had a job outside of academia.

I watched his recent Netflix documentary. Found it interesting and made me think. Then I went on with my day.

frick him

This is like people bowing at the feet of the likes of Hawking or Krauthammer

Being tops in your field doesn't mean you are an expert on everything.

Has Chomsky admitted that the Khmer Rouge were bad guys yet?

If there's anyone who knows radical, it's Chomsky.
I'm a professor, and my Master's students are intrigued by the cat.
I agree with the above poster who suggested that Chomsky's brilliance is best appreciated when he stays in his own disciplinary lane.

I don't even know if Chomsky would refute being labeled a communist. Who takes his political opinions seriously besides other communists? He's morally bankrupt.

The same can be said of 'liberals' and their founders, such as Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson
