I don't think I'd be going too far out on a limb by guessing that his being black AND muslim was all that was needed for acceptance. 'Higher' ed has really become a big crock of cr--.

Well, I DO because he could well have taken the spot of a candidate who worked his/her butt off to get in, had good scores, and could work towards making a REAL contribution instead of contributing propaganda for a terrorist racist organization. So yes, it does matter!

My company flat out told my buddy he had to hire a black guy, even though the two black candidates weren't very qualified.

In today's American nobody gives a shite about hard work and earning stuff. The only thing people care about now is equality by bring everyone DOWN to the same standards rather than people striving to move up. If you look at what he has done and the family he comes from, he was getting in anyway.
He was accepted to two other Ivy League schools without that stunt (at least afaik).
Rich kid gets into Ivy League schools isn't a story. Also we don't know his grades/test scores.

I get your point, and it's silly that he just blew off the essay and still got in but you're making a lot of other assumptions about his merits assuming that he took the spot of some more deserving kid. For instance, we don't know his test scores.

His 'resume' is full of 'activism' and not much else. And how many of his 'achievements' were accomplished because of his matching pc requirements? I didn't see test scores anywhere.

Yet you're so sure that the kid took a spot from a kid with good test scores and accomplishments, but you haven't provided anything to say that he didn't have good test scores and accomplishments either.
In fact, I think his troll here would be evidence that he's smart enough to test the system.
