I would say that this is a good start, but unfortunately, this does not seem to be precedent setting
hope springs eternal though...

Nine asylum-seekers, including four children, barely made it across the Canadian border on Friday as a U.S. border patrol officer tried to stop them and a Reuters photographer captured the scene.
As a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officer seized their passports and questioned a man in the front passenger seat of a taxi that had pulled up to the border in Champlain, New York, four adults and four young children fled the cab and ran to Royal Canadian Mounted Police on the other side.
One by one they scrambled across the snowy gully separating the two countries. RCMP officers watching from the other side helped them up, lifting the younger children and asking a woman, who leaned on her fellow passenger as she walked, if she needed medical care.

Wonder what they were running from?

We should be chasing them towards the borders, not trying to stop them.

Why aren't we offering free bus rides for asylum seekers?

Probably because they demand limos. They insist they leave in style.

funds are dried up - saving up for the next election to get more "likely democrat" voters to the polls in Detroit & Milwaukee in 2020...

"Do you need healthcare?"
Yes! And so do my 4 kids! Also need a sandwich, warm drink, a warm place to live, and any other free shite I can fleece from your citizens.

We should be helping them leave however we can. I'd even give them boxed lunches. We could have welfare dims making the lunches.

WHY is the border patrol trying to stop them?
Posted on 2/18/17 at 8:40 am to novabill
Better yet why isnt Clarke Kentrudeau there to personally welcome them?
Posted on 2/18/17 at 8:43 am to LosLobos111
So why are they fleeing the great Canada to come to a hate filled America?

quote:Champlain, New York is literally in the middle of nowhere. Champlain has a population of about 1,100 people. Plattsburgh is 20mi away, and has a population <20K. Which begs the question . . . What the hell was the Reuters photographer who "captured the scene" doing there in the first place?

Something doesn't compute.
Definition of asylum: the protection granted by a nation to someone who has left their native country as a political refugee.
Were these Sudanese people not here in the states as asylum seekers? Why would they want to leave the US if they were? There's more to this story than what we're seeing in print.

You weren't supposed to notice that

Goodbye. Am I supposed to feel guilty or something?

This story makes no sense. You don't need to talk to CBP when you leave the country.
Did CBP pull them over for a traffic stop before they made it across?

So they are from Sudan and are fleeing? So they are most likely not here legally. You know I would equate some of these people to people here who switch cell phone companies every month so that they can get a free phone. They don't care about the service (U.S. or Canada in my example), they only care about the free shite that you are giving to them and will switch in an instant that someone gives them a better deal.
