Just wondering what everybody thinks about what's happening with the NFL right now..Players are not backing down..and fans are tuning out ..( myself included ) ..it seems something will have to give at some point..especially when MAJOR advertisers quit or demand lower fees..
I'll be hard pressed to start watching again...what's your thoughts on this ?

How will it end?

The NFL will cease to exist.

Not watching. Don't care what happens to the players.

No. Show me that a policeman didn't serve time for being convicted of murder, though.

Do you realize that you have much much bigger problems than police brutality/profiling that you refuse to acknowledge ?

Nope, but this happens so rarely that it isn't an issue but if the police commit a crime they should be punished. Black on Black crime is a much bigger issue that needs to be addressed. Do you oppose justice for victims of black on black crime?

17 police related killings of unarmed black men last year

5000+ blacks killed by other blacks last year

Blacks are 13% of the total U.S. population. Police wrote approximately 40 million tickets last year. Just using % of population that means over 5,000,000 black people received tickets. Does not include blacks pulled over from profiling, blacks pulled over that did not receive tickets, etc... which would put the number WAY over 5,000,0000 encounters with police.

Any idea how statistically insignificant blacks getting killed by police really is? Blacks being killed by police is not a systemic problem. It is perfectly clear that the overwhelming majority of blacks have no issues at all with the police.

Too bad the media wants to highlight 10-20 incidents a year from the likely 10,000,000 + encounters. It's bad because people like you don't have enough common sense or understand math.

Do you favor ignoring the far more prevalent black on black murders?

Don’t know. I do think in another 10 years the NFL will be a shell of its former self...many due to declining youth participation due to CTE and other injury fears.

This mess may act as a catalyst.

The irony here is that Kapernick and his ultra-libs are taking this stand against football...he wants to play, allegedly, but those that support him will also state they think football should be banned and that it is a plantation.

People will all magically become adults and stop caring what other adults do during creepy cloth worshiping and adoration rituals.

Cannot end or won't end during the season. If it is going to end it will happen in the offseason.

Goodell was already trying to associate the kneeling with community activism and positive change. Totally ignoring Kaepernick and how this got started.
