Because the shite storm wasn't big enough the last time, let's do it again. Nothing like alienating other business and corporations in the name of pandering to Bible Beaters

I'm a Muslim and have a sincere religious belief to subjugate the shite out of women. Would this protect me?

Perhaps you should read about the religion you mock before casting stones... or move to a heathen enclave far removed from the south

Perhaps many Christians still don't understand that Jesus loves you even if you're gay. For you to try and treat people differently because of their sexual orientation is a sin.

Why does it seem like most "religious liberty" bills are about protecting organizations trying to discriminate?

Luke, my religion requires all women in my presence to cover their head. Would this bill protect my sincerely held religious belief to require women to cover their heads?

Maybe you need to dust off that ole Bible again.

Why would Jesus be okay with treating gay people differently?

These bills do not compel businesses to do anything.

Pretty sure there is some discrimination going on at the pearly gates over this. Can't get in if you are a practicing homosexual.

This whole modern notion that Jesus overlooks any and all behavior and has no standards set forth for salvation is false prophecy. The Bible has some warnings and harsh words for the false prophets.

Private organizations should be free to discriminate.

In my church, we don't believe in absolutes like all gays go to hell. The only sin that guarantees you a place in hell is refusing to accept Christ as the son of God.

More than likely, though not in a hateful manner. This doctrinal 'Jesus just wants everybody to be nice and sing kumbayah' isn't really all that accurate.

Homos pay taxes to build roads people use to get to your business, they pay taxes that pay for police to protect your business, and they pay taxes to pay for schools to educate kids to staff your business.

Tell me why you should be able to discriminate against the taxpayer simply because of who he/she fricks.

Why do you want to enforce your morality on business owners?

The morality of treating people like people instead of gay/straight? Because people deserve to have the chance to live their lives how they choose. If they aren't impacting someone else's right to life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness, then you shouldn't be treating them poorly because of it.

To me, that's an unfair argument because many times you can't "choose" to use private roads or private police departments or what not. It's either government or nothing.

Another reason why your argument fails is because gays are not being denied serices they directly pay for. If they were being denied roads or police protection that's a problem, but you can't just brush away private property rights on the grounds that services you are forced to pay for by the state entitles the state to do whatever it wants with you
