Anyone hear about the Navy looking for a hostile sub off the Cali coast? It was tweeted out by drudge last night.
Infowars:
Infowars:

Anti-submarine aircraft have been loitering over the same area off the California coast for hours, which is fueling speculation that a Russian – or a North Korean – submarine was spotted in the area.
While the report of a foreign vessel is unconfirmed at this point, the military patrol is apparently not part of a routine exercise due to the number of aircraft hovering over the same area and the late hours of operation.
The patrol includes multiple low-flying aircraft including a Navy EP-3E Aries II, which is used for electronic surveillance, a Navy P-3C Orion, which is used for submarine spotting, and a Boeing P-8 Poseidon used for anti-submarine warfare.
Additionally, a Royal Canadian CP-140 Orion, also known for submarine spotting, joined the search.

Given a choice between a Russian Sub and a NK sub I pick the latter please...we sink a Russian sub and the limits on fishing don't matter no more....keep all you can catch 'cause there ain't gonna be no tomorrow...

Apparently a white flash was being tweeted out of california last night. no idea what they decided it was.

By the way how does NK build a sub? Seriously....they have to have similar engineers to SK, right? I have owned a KIA for years...great little car....I wouldn't want to have to sneak around in the damn thing though...I can just imagine how noisy a Korean sub would be...the damn thing would last forever but doing so in an aesthetically pleasing manner wouldn't be it strong suit...

NK apparently has quite a few subs, about 80 with 26 of them being made by Russia or China. A few make it close to a coastline and launch some nukes, who knows.

If they hit California I think we should evaluate results before responding. Could be good all the way around.

Does the us anti sub team post their doings? How does a news team get details on up to the minute air surveillance?
This story with map and little plane icon is my nominee for faked news.

They do have subs. But unless something has changed recently that I'm unaware of, none are capable of launching nuclear missiles.
I think most are obsolete diesel subs armed only with torpedos.

If NK probably just looking for a truck stop that sells diesel.

Well, they'd kind of have to have them. Their subs are diesel boats with limited range. For them to get to California and be able to stay any amount of time, the North Koreans would have to post fuel tankers out in the Pacific to refuel their subs.

Please stop posting stupid threads that are sometimes even worse than infowars crap.
