Pretty much agree, Mo. The strength of our (former) Republic was in the may ways that various societal problems were addressed. Some of the States 'solutions'...create more problems than they solve.
The Founding Fathers had it right...LIMIT the Fed power to the defense of our freedom to let the locals decide their fate.
You can label this current Progressive Ideological bunch whatever you want - neo-cons included - but one thing is for sure...top down Centralized power is their goal. And power corrupts. But it looks like enough of an electoral base has bought in, for what they can get...so...either the electoral process ('mob rule') is rejected and IGNORED by the minority, through various means...or the Statist model assumes dictatorial power.
I hope the Dawgs win...might hurt Saban's recruiting power down here in the Boot.
