My simple theory as to why the Democrats/GOPe decided to go with the Russian narrative

The democrats(and GOPe, and media, and any other uniparty establishment affiliated entity) have wanted to impeach Trump from the beginning and get him out of office because of obvious reasons. However most ways to go about that would lead to a civil war and lots of unrest amongst those who voted for him. So they had to come up with a way that would peel off just enough Trump supporters in order to be able to get away without without too much unrest and collateral damage.
They decided to go with the Russia narrative in order to make it appear like Trump wasn't "America First" but instead in bed with a nation that many citizens, including Trump supporters, view as an enemy. By tying Trump to Russia, they could make the case to Trump's base of support that he is not America first, which is why many voted for him, and therefore peel off enough Trump supporters to be able to remove him from office without things getting ugly or messy.

I'm sure there's some of that for sure, just as I'm sure there's more to the story than Trump is letting on.

Why do people say stuff like this?
It took like 2 hours to shut-down the entire city of Boston with tanks in the streets, military men going door to door without a warrant and ransacking shite...looking for TWO guys.
Two.
The military is controlled by whoever is in Office...there are no coups by force and Americans aren't rising up.
Unless you mean the obvious only rationale answer - talk show pundit civil war.

They had to shift the focus off of how terrible Hillary was as a candidate, while making Trump's presidency seem illegitimate

Ive made many posts on this board about how disgusted I was with Boston and how the people of Boston just bent over and took it up the arse.
But its two different situations
They were able to get away with that travesty in Boston because of the "Muh terrorists lets catch the terrorists" narrative.

Trump is going down bro , he along with many in his inner circle are heavily involved with Russia , Russian mafia and money laundering . They have the goods on him and soon you will see shite hit the fan .... Its starting to trickle out already pay attention ! Notice how they all said " Not at this time " when asked about Trump/Russian collusion . Yea well , they needed time to piece it all together . Now they have it . Its coming , prepare thy anus ...

And historically, Russia prefers Democrats. After all, Putin walked all over Obama during his term. Why would he not want that to continue?

Trump ran as a lark to gain more publicity for his reality show. Little did he know that there was a huge groundswell of disenchanted white folk who wanted more than the rank and file GOP offered. He is spineless and clueless with no moral fiber, but he is our President.
My hope is that there will be a new, reasonable independent voice of America. I refuse to watch any of the cable channels or visit any political internet site. Their objective is to incite their fanbase to drive viewership/clicks. For a while, I thought that CNN was going to be that vehicle, but they have made a hard left turn.
Not all rich people are the result of white privilege. Not all poor people are the result of race or class discrimination. Every person and situation is different. The ideal of generalizing this incredibly diverse country into two groups is inadequate. The two party system isn't working. We should be open to more solutions than the dribble that the Trump's and the Pelosi's of the world deliver.

All of the "the establishment is against us" crowd is doing is whining....and whining will get you nowhere in politics.
Barrack Obama and his supporters should act as a cautionary tale here...many of us also whined about the mean old opposition...for 8 fricking years...and the opposition, coupled with the whining from the left, made Obama much less effective than he could have been had his supporters shown some backbone and stopped trying to get bipartisan support. Donald Trump is president today because Barry decided not to put his thumb on the scale in the fall of 2016 and going public with the Russian investigation....he apparently did not want to appear overly partisan in the election...because even after 8 years he was stupid enough to think that the right could give a shite one way or the other about the truth in such matters....
