Remember just a few short days ago when the Trump presidency was doomed and impeachment hearings were gearing up for him, Pence and Flynn? Remember when the media had finally found evidence to support their claim that Trump was coordinating with the Russians and were vindicated in their attacks on him? Remember MUH LOGAN ACT!!!!!
I remember
I remember

You think the press was asking him questions they didn't already know the answers to yesterday?
Posted on 2/17/17 at 9:24 am to Centinel
CNBC just sent me an alert that Trump is considering mobilising 100k NG troops to round up illegals.
Of course, this is a "proposal" being "circulated."

The only thing that's changed is he went batshit insane during his press conference yesterday and fired up the Poliboard.
But if the success of an administration is judged on how many people simultaneously say "Holy shite!" then George Washington's run as the face of the 1 dollar bill may be nearing an end.

Not at all what he is suggesting. He is pointing out that it has never been a shite show. It has been wrongfully painted as one by the conspiring media, and you have fallen for it like a hooker for blow

Get out of here with your lies.
quote:
President Trump's first choice to succeed the departed Michael Flynn as national security adviser has turned the job down due to family reasons, sources close to the situation told Fox News late Thursday.
One source told Fox that retired Navy Vice Admiral Robert Harward "really wanted" to do the job, but ultimately decided that he could not.
A senior administration official said that Harward's acceptance of the national security adviser post was contingent on the agreement of his family. The official said Harward's wife and other family members wanted him to remain in the private sector.
Now go back into your hole and stop embarrassing yourself

I know the Trump presser was catnip to his base, but a question for Trumpistas: do you think he accomplishes more by going off on the media or would he achieve more by essentially ignoring the media, denying allegations of wrongdoing, and focusing on his policy agenda?
You can tell by the way I asked the question that I favor the latter approach, but what do the true believers think?

The shitshow is the media's attempt to create the illusion of a shitshow.

No, I honestly don't remember that. But then again I don't watch or read Fake News.

There's no reason he can't do both
He was mostly quiet last week or 2(not counting Twitter) but you see how that turned out.
He's announcing a new travel revision and working on tax cuts and other things for early next week.

I'll give you a serious response, and in addition I'm no fan of Trump. I just like calling proggies on their bullshite here.
It's two different strategies. One is like you say, ignore the press and focus on your policy agenda. The problem is then you can't really control/shape the narrative and what the press is focusing on. The other strategy is what Trump is currently doing, attacking the press, calling them on their bias, and as a result he's controlling the headlines as the press focuses on whatever outrageous statement he made for the day. This leaves him free to push forward with his agenda, while the press is too busy chasing the bright shiny hook.
There are arguments to be made in terms of which is the more successful, but only time will tell.

quote:There were many questions.
You think the press was asking him questions they didn't already know the answers to yesterday?
Certainly some would fall into that category.
Problem is the vast number of MSM questions imply things that are not true.
And you are right on point.....the Press KNOWS they are not true.
