Two Democratic Pennsylvania mayors were indicted Wednesday as part of a wide-ranging FBI corruption probe. The mayors of Reading and Allentown - the state's third-largest city - were named among the defendants in the five-person indictment. Acting U.S. Attorney for Eastern Pennsylvania Louis Lappen said Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski (D) was charged with 14 counts relating to running a pay-to-play scheme, and other offenses.

Trash that got priced out of north New Jersey in the 2000's have moved to places like Allentown. They've clearly elected like-minded people.

Jobs for Wisconsin, cleaning up Pennsylvania, and Kid Rocking up Michigan, Dems may not ever win again. Now if we can only get California to secede ...

Unsurprising. I lived in PA for most of my life; pay to play is just the normal way of doing things, especially in the Dem strongholds; Pittsburgh, Philly, Scranton etc.

My father did work that he would have to cut deals with the governments in PA. His assessment was that "both republicans and democrats are for sale in Pennsylvania, the only difference is that you can buy off the democrats really cheap." He also said that the repubs usually wanted you to kick in free stuff on the deal for the community to use, a park, paid for 911 service, a new ambulance. The D's always wanted campaign donations and typically nothing else.
