quote:You asked a stupid question. The characteristics you mentioned are specified in discrimination laws because those are characteristics against which have been discriminated historically. Big feet might be mentioned in discrimination laws if there were a history of such discrimination, but there isn't, so there is no such law. Discrimination laws are written to treat equally what people ignorantly treat unequally.
You obviously aren't well versed in discrimination and equal protection law.
Your position essentially would put an end to employment at will.
That way everyone in the South can avoid having to hire, promote, give raises to blacks and women.
Of course religious discrimination is wrong.
quote:You're really making TERRIBLE arguments here. Just absolutely terrible.
When you put sexual orientation in with religion, one must trump the other. You always support sexual orientation trumping religion, such as the photographer in New Mexico who didn't want to provide her services for the lesbian couple. You like government force, no different than government force used in Europe in the 20th century.
You asked a stupid question.
The characteristics you mentioned are specified in discrimination laws because those are characteristics against which have been discriminated historically.
Discrimination laws are written to treat equally what people ignorantly treat unequally.
too asinine to seriously address
Keep thinking that is a viable argument
People discriminate for 1000 of reasons outside of those found in the CRA. Why not protect those?
quote:Ok. Now what?
I am protected regardless of race just like I'm protected regardless of how big my feet are. These are equally protected.
