This is only a 2 day period...

"In all, the audience among team Facebook pages decreased by 88,610, according to data compiled by Crowdtangle, a tool that tracks social media trends and analytics. All data is representative of figures accurate as of Sept. 26.

The three teams that did not take the field — the Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans — saw some of the most precipitous drops.

GRAPHIC: HOW EACH NFL TEAM DEMONSTRATED DURING ANTHEM
In the two days following the protests (Sept. 25 and 26), the Steelers lost a total of 17,400 followers, the most of any team, and the Seahawks' total fell by 10,200. The Titans lost 4,100 followers, which represented the second highest percentage of their relative total of any team.

The New Orleans Saints saw the second-highest drop of 13,300 over the two-day span (5,100 on Sept. 25 and 8,200 the next day). The totals for most of the 28 teams dwarfed the attrition totals for recent months. For the Saints, their next highest total of followers lost in a single day was on Sept. 16 with 384."

Well being 1-2 doesn't help their PR either.

"Unliking" the Saints on facebook was the first thing I did. Turning off my ESPN Fantasy Notifications was the second.

As this week progresses, my mind is slowly being purged of the NFL.

I'm sure some leftist leaning flag burner who will never watch a football game in his life will still applaud their actions. At least the league is putting in the work to replace my demographic.

They kinda made it easy. If they would have laid low on Sunday it would have escaped me. But then they sent out notices about the game.

Plenty more games this season for those millionaire athletes to alienate their middle class fans too.

I'm sure that doesn't help. But in this case it would appear to be irrelevant. Notice that largest drop was 2 days after victory, second largest was 1st day after victory, and the third largest was in the middle of losing. Also note, losing resulted in 400 drops but winning resulted in 13300 drops?!!

No this is racist BLM related, not win loss!

The Saints drop of 13,300 accounts for only 0.33 percent of their total following-roughly 4,030,000

In fairness, they had to go through the major effort of clicking a button so that may have deterred some boycotters.

Woohoo! We only lost 0.33% of our followers in 2 days! Lets party like it's 19 99!

Math, what a great thing! Let's calculate! They will lose a little over 1% of their followers per week. There are only 14 weeks left in the regular season. So that's only a 17% loss. I'm sure Benson WANTS to loose 17%!

But wait! Notice how the number is increasing from day one to day two as the red arse against the BLM racists increases. He could easily loose 25%! Paaaartaay!

But wait again! We have play offs. More weeks to piss fans off! That 0.33% loss could result in a 33.0% loss.

Now that's a successful business plan!

So the latest dumbass theory is that they are track to have zero followers in less than 300 days?

Jesus, Poliboard...this guy is supposed to be one of your smart ones!

Thank you!
Next time I argue with my wife and she calls me a dumb arse, I'll tell her that Walking the Earth said I was a smart arse!

I in no way implied that the droppings would eventually reach 100%!

The law of diminishing returns says it won't. First I'm sure some of the Saints followers are deceased and their Facebook likes will continue to out live them. Second, I'm sure some of them are BLM racist and approve. Third, some of them couldn't care less if the players wear KKK hoods or take a BLM knee to our national flag; they just want to watch football. Fourth, some are just hoping the NFL will eventually wake up and stop the BS. And finally, many of them have not thought of dropping the Saints on Facebook as a legitimate form of protest!

However dropping is growing and continually increasing for now. So your implication that since it was only 0.33% AS OF YESTERDAY the Saints should be unconcerned is frankly moronic.

Now I do not think you a moron; you unfortunately have to grasp at moronic straws to support your idiotic supposition that Mr. Benson should be unconcerned.
