While 21% of U.S. residents want Congress to let Obamacare stand in its current form, 39% think the law should be changed so that it can do more. Only 7% want the law changed so that it does less. 29% believe Obamacare should be repealed completely. Four percent are unsure.

On the specific aspects of the Affordable Care Act, there is a great deal of consensus. 76% of Americans want the component which allows children to remain on their parents’ health insurance policy until the age of 26 to remain a law. 72% would like the government to keep in place the provision which provides federal subsidies to lower income people to pay for health insurance, 69% also support prohibiting insurance companies from denying health coverage because of pre-existing conditions. However, half of Americans, 50%, do not think residents should be legally required to buy health insurance and say that this component should be repealed.

Not shocking, this just backs up what we're seeing in town halls across America.

You literally have to baby step dumb motherfrickers through the process of why...

Once you dumb it down to dollars and "sense", most will get it. The only thing they know are the scare tactic ad's that ran and/or are running about repealing it.

2/3 of Americans know more about Kim kardashian and Willie Robertson than George Soros and Steve Bannon.

Color me not impressed.

Do you happen to know who they poll? I feel like they should only poll ppl who buy insurance on the market and through a workplace.

Like I get mine through work so I have no idea if I want ACA to stay the same, revamp, or appeal. Maybe i should care, I have no idea. Health insurance is confusing af.

Someone like my father who is a farmer and has to buy his own insurance will care a hell of a lot more about this I would. That's why they should poll ppl like my pops.

The "winning" side lost the popular vote. Bigly.

bullshite, as usual. The numbers in your link and in your quote show that 75% polled want ACA repeal.

Are you under the impression that the ACA hasn't impacted employer-provided plans at all?

A good portion of which didn't even know Obamacare and the ACA were the same thing.

There was also a group that kept telling us not to take his words literally. I wonder how many fell for that one as well

The 39% you include in that number who want the law expanded are not in favor of ACA repeal. That's like saying people who want the rich taxed more want to abolish taxes.

Sounds like the 2/3rds who aren't coming out of pocket. I guess I should just pay my share (which has tripled premiums in a few years and tripled deductibles) and shut up.

They absolutely are, in this poll and many others that you've tried using.

No, it's not like that at all.
