Anyone with their head screwed on right will know that not everyone that voted blue agrees with all of the tantrum throwing that's gone on since Trump won, but I feel like there's a need for something to be addressed.

The term "Moderate Democrat" no longer holds water. Those with authority in the party are no longer moderate. They are radical and they are rallying these types of barbaric acts in the name of their movement. This is the Democratic party now. The actions have been consistent and have lasted long enough now to say this is the path they've chosen. If you don't agree with their stances now, you're no longer a Democrat. You're an independent. The party that represented what you stand for no longer exists.

Maybe so. I'm still of the opinion that if you're a democrat, then you're a fricking idiot. There's no middle ground with me.

Thanks for telling us what we believe, Drewbie. You're making a broad generalization and have misplaced aggression from today's events. It was a shitty day, but there's no need to lump everyone into one category.

Id take that a step further. I'd say with all liberals. Some Democrats can still negotiate at the table. Liberals cannot. It's their way or no way

They aren't liberal either. They are totalitarian progressives.

I'm not sure liberals have a party anymore.

If anything I'd say the current Republican party is more Moderately Democratic than it's ever been. It's pretty ironic. The melting dem above took it as a negative jab on Democrats but honestly it saddens me because I know there are a LARGE number of people that are either getting misrepresented by associating themselves with the Democratic party or just flat out feel like there's no representation for them.

13 years ago, Zel Miller, a Democratic Senator from Georgia spoke at the RNC...

quote:

But don't waste your breath telling that to the leaders of my party today. In their warped way of thinking America is the problem, not the solution.

They don't believe there is any real danger in the world except that which America brings upon itself through our clumsy and misguided foreign policy. It is not their patriotism — it is their judgment that has been so sorely lacking.

They claimed Carter's pacifism would lead to peace.

They were wrong.

They claimed Reagan's defense buildup would lead to war.

They were wrong.

And, no pair has been more wrong, more loudly, more often than the two Senators from Massachusetts, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry.

I believe Zel would agree with you.
