There was a segment on Colin Kaepernick and the reason why he is not signed. Michael went on a tirade saying that the only reason was politics......and not the fact that he was HORRIBLE last season.
Then they went in to what Trump recently said about teams not signing him basically because he is a cancer. Michael then emphatically said that "he needs to shut up" and waved him off with his hand.

If a white employee of NFLN, MLBN, or ESPN would have disrespected the POTUS (Obama) that way......they would have been fired.

An NFL insider, on various ESPN shows the past 2 days, said that he had talked to 6 NFL GM's and only one said his team would not take him because of his politics. The other 5 all said he just was not good enough any more. Especially his style of QB'ing.

A couple of radio hosts in Chicago yesterday said that Kaepnernick was getting black-balled for the anthem stuff. They said if any more listeners tried contacting the show to suggest he hasn't been signed simply because he isn't good enough, they would immediately know "who they were dealing with" and block the number.

I was blown away by the take. I mean, Kaep went 1/5 for 4 yds against the Bears last season and got benched for Gabbert. You don't think it's possible that at least some of your local audience just thinks he sucks?

My opinion is that it's probably both politics and his play. I am not sure what Colin and the rest of these SJW idiots expected. Yes.....it is his right to protest, but it's also everyone else's right to view him as a TPOS. He has alienated at least half of the country, and the NFL started to feel the pressure last season due to these antics.

My view is......it's your right to be a dumbass, but don't be upset when you can't find a job from NFL owners whose profit comes (in large part) from hard working, tax paying, patriotic fans

Or you know, being ranked 26th best QB in the league by PFF:

It's probably a toss-up between the two.

It's a simple formula

Skills - Public Perception Issues= Value

NFL Owners don't care about issue just what it does to fans

Well
The NFL is run like 30
Small family conservative businesses...and like any conservative institution they stubbornly put up fights agains progress and change in the name of profits.

Like most conservatives instituiona that don't ship up, progress and time ship them out. The NFL is on its downslope and I could say you could blame it's owners for their sad and exploitative conservative business tactics/leanings.

Good luck, progress has never been on conservatives side.

this, exactly...

i respect him exercising his right to protest/kneel, etc... but thats on him if he didn't think it through on how it would affect him in the future, with prospective employers....

This.

If you're gonna be demonstrative with your political shenanigans, you'd damn well at least better be able to produce on the field. Otherwise, you're just an unnecessary sideshow that most front offices would rather not have to deal with.

You are such a little bitch. It's like a broken fricking record singing the travails of the black man, over and over again.
