Again, my post was about the MEDIA and the public figures and officials. Not a bunch of anonymous internet assholes. (No offense, of course)

How can people with reputations, and things to lose, come out and say such blatantly hypocritical statements. How can one side constantly preach tolerance, without exhibiting a shred of it themselves? --- and never even realize it? This is my point.

I've always said if people would stop being so defensive on both sides they'd see that the other side honestly wants what they feel is best for the country. People on DU and this board literally think the other side is unamerican and wants to take away freedoms or impose hurtful legislation. I think both sides love this country we just have fundamentally different ways of trying to better it and change with the changing times.
