While your liberal bleeding heart is noble in theory, it is grossly naive in reality.
More importantly, the US Constitution protects and serves American citizens and not illegal aliens. If you care so much about these "humanitarian" charity works, donate your own personal and financial investments.

But, this board aside, I don't think most Americans view illegal immigration like they view other illegal conduct. Illegal immigration plus benefits fraud or identity fraud? Sure. Illegal immigration plus violence? Of course.
But while I don't encourage illegal immigration, I'm not going to hold some significant disdain for someone who wants to come to this country so much they'll put their freedom and safety in jeopardy to do it. Particularly when the country you're coming to has pretty much condoned it for a significant period of time.
