Besides himself, he really sucks at getting others elected, and we also shouldn't forget Brexit.

Well, to be fair to Merkel, there have been worse German leaders.

His approval ratings are high because he was the first black president. People don't really like him or think their lives are better because of him. That is why his party lost power.

yeah, I'm kind of ashamed I kept saying "how are his approvals so high and yet all of his policies so unpopular?"
