That's so he can claim he didn't support.
Pretty common tactic.
He had the votes so he was fine

Part of the arcane Senate rules. Voting no is a procedural move that allowed him to bring up Gorsuch's nomination. He had to do this to drop the nuke!

Whole lot of idiotic ignorance in this thread.

Yep.
It takes about 5 seconds to find 100 tweets/postings explaining why he did it
but no, "he's a pussy man, all these cucks in here brother"

He had to vote no so that he could change the rules. That's why.

That's pretty fricking funny.

This is a procedural move. he has to vote against it so he can bring back up the cloture vote after they get he procedural changes made.
since he voted against it he can bring it back up

The cloture vote itself will likely fail, ostensibly blocking Gorsuch’s nomination from going to confirmation. But this is the key place for McConnell to attempt to change the precedent. Expect McConnell to switch his vote on the cloture tally from yea to nay so he can be on the “prevailing side” (in this case, the nays). That gives McConnell the right to ask for a revote.

Calm down. It was probably a parliamentary/procedural move more tan anything else

Ok I was wrong. Pardon me for not knowing these retarded procedural rules dreamed up by a bunch of old men who work 8 days a month.

You fricking people are woefully misinformed. It was a procedural necessity in order to enact the "Nuclear option".
