Mass Shooting '76-2010

I'm sure this is germans, but interesting charts with regards to the number of mass shootings by years. Funny how the states with some of the strictest gun control laws have the most mass shooting incidents...

The number of incidents has appeared to hold steady over time with an increase in guns and population and this includes 10 years of the previous AWB...

these discussions are always skewed based on how they define "mass shooting" fwiw

and that's not a rate chart...that's by totals. i'd presume the rate/100k is going down

That is interesting data.

Where did you reference it from if you do not mind me asking?

TIA

Interesting but I don't think that this is a problem that can be solved. And it certainly won't solved by restrictions or confiscations.

True. They used as any instance with 4 or more kills. This is generally the standard minimum for a mass shooting.

I wonder if they included Ruby Ridge?

Or Waco/Davidians for that matter?

Now, now. Admit it. It is an interesting chart.

Indicative of lack of moral decay, even?

States with less urban populations have less mass shootings. Most of these mass shootings are gang related and take place in ghettos. Not all but most. But naturally the solution is to take the rural conservatives guns away.

A solution that would basically end gun violence would be to forbid anyone on welfare or food stamps from owning a firearm. If anyone is on welfare or food stamps and gets caught with a firearm, they can't have any government assistance for life.

Yep. Showed this to a liberal buddy of mine, and of course his response was my argument is unreasonable.

Who knew thinking that the government shouldn't be able to limit our rights with anything less than a constitutional amendment was "not rational"
