Marco Rubio: Tax Relief for Working Families Hinges on Child Tax Credit Expansion

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) today released the following analysis showing an enhanced child tax credit remains the best way to provide meaningful tax relief for working American families.
quote:
The first chart displays the tax change relative to current law that families of various sizes and income levels would see without an increased Child Tax Credit, compared to a Child Tax Credit worth $2,000 that is also refundable against payroll taxes, as proposed by Rubio and Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) and supported by Special Advisor to the President Ivanka Trump. It shows Rubio’s proposal would cut taxes for all working and middle-class American families. It also shows that not increasing the Child Tax Credit risks raising taxes on some of these families under the proposed Framework.
quote:
The second chart compares the tax relief that families of various income levels with two children, or about the average family size, would receive under a tax reform bill that increases the Child Tax Credit by only $500 on a non-refundable basis relative to the Rubio’s proposal. It shows that making the Child Tax Credit refundable against payroll tax liability is essential to meaningfully cutting taxes for America’s working class families, as the majority of American workers pay more in payroll taxes than they do income taxes.

A common sense plan backed up by scientific facts. That is what Marco is doing for us. People like Rand Paul who always default to no are what is wrong with this country. Meanwhile Marco is actually trying to work out the details to make us more prosperous. Without Marco Congress would never get anything accomplished!

It's also the most sure fire way to ensure that poor people continue to breed and stay single. frick little Marco.

If we had a Senate full of Rand Paul's, we wouldn't be drowning in debt and operating an empire in every corner of the globe.
If we had a Senate full of Marco Rubio's we'd be at war with a dozen countries and our debt would skyrocket even further.
Rand Paul has more integrity in a drop of sweat than in all of Little Marco.

We also would have zero law and order. Marco is digging this country out of debt.

So much this. Call this the breeding credit.
We want to incentivize people who actually bring something to table to procreate and improve the gene pool.
This just gives mouth breeders another reason to frick and live off the government.

Terrible idea. Working class families need incentives to have a small family, not incentives to grow the size of their family.

My wife and I are a working childless couple. Where is our relief because after all, we are costing the taxpayers less money than the man and wife with three kids, are we not?

The most absolutely genius part of all of this is it isn’t refundable against the income tax. It’s refundable against the payroll tax. Absolutely genius as the payroll tax places a much much heavier burden on the everyday man.

How do you dig this country out of debt when you want to go to war all the time in every corner of the earth? Marco is the Cuban McCain. Razor Ramon would make a better politician than Rubio.

Up voted for the Razor Ramon reference.

All of the illegals Marco wants to give amnesty to are very much looking forward to this expanded child tax credit. They. Can’t. Wait. Many have a head start already.
