Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara meets with Trump

Hmm....I wonder what they are chatting about?
U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Preet Bharara is meeting with President-elect Donald Trump Wednesday, a spokesperson for Bharara confirmed to POLITICO.
The spokesperson did not give any more details about the nature of the meeting. The New York Post reported Wednesday that the two would meet to discuss Bharara potentially staying on in the Southern District after Trump is sworn in in January.
A pool report stated that Bharara, who entered Trump Tower at about 12:45 p.m., smiled with his folded arms across his chest but declined to answer questions, including whether there was an ongoing investigation connected to Trump.

If Trump is smart he is seeking Preet's input on how to separate himself from his businesses to avoid liability for pay for play in relation to the Trump Organization's business dealings. Preet would be the likely US Attorney to prosecute the case if it is ever brought.
Might as well have him help formulate the solution ahead of time.

My guess? Trump met to see if Bharara would stay on during his term.
Trump doesn't have to bring up Hillary, the Clinton Foundation, Governor Cuomo, or anything else. Everyone who knows about this guy knows he will go where the case takes him and he doesn't give a shite which party it hurts.
Taking down the most senior Republican and Democrat in the NY legislature is a major feather in his cap and him taking out a lot of Cuomo staffers without leaks hitting the press first show that he's got a killer instinct rather than being a showboat.

Potus is exempted from these laws. The only law concerning him would be gifts from a foreign dignitary. Anything that you or I could do legally as a business transaction he can do. Congress did not apply the pay for play laws to potus. On the other hand Trump has to protect the bussiness from himself. As potus he is deemed on the clock 24/7. Any unclassified conversation is deemed public property. If he were to write a novel or memoir he couldnt copywrite it. Thats not a good idea to have your business dealings in the national archives.
