.....“The popularity of Macron is diminishing, that of Le Pen climbs,” writes BFMTV. “Emmanuel Macron, down 4 points, remains the political personality that attracts the most support. The candidate has the advantage over his opponent of the second round of the presidential, Marine Le Pen, which climbs for its part 4 points, according to an Odoxa poll broadcast Thursday.”

Additionally, a PresiTrack poll by Opinionway reveals that Macron has slipped below 60% for the first time since March.....

What a CNN-like attempt you made here. We should use this as an example of logical fails to help prevent future ones from happening..

I mean, I'm not Einstein when it comes to math but that's an 8 point swing in a very short period of time. Le Pen just might have a shot.

Or the original polls were ridiculous, and there is now a Trumpesque correction occurring?

What's the example? This board only trusts polls when they show as favorable to their preferred agenda?

I think it's time for Macron to get his grandma on the campaign.

Ooops, I meant to say his wife.

Skewed polls can show incorrect numbers but provide correct trends. You try to convolute a few different issues into one blanket statement and doing so is a logical fallacy.

But you can't really infer a trend from one poll.

You can't get a change in polling numbers from one poll. I don't think you thought that post through very well. A change in numbers requires at least a minimum of 2 data points (old and new).

But you would still need one more data point to establish any trend, so 3 total.

Oh look, you said you can't infer anything from one poll, now it is up to 2. I made no claims of getting a "trend" from 2 polls. You work for CNN?

Yes, there have only been two polls. the campaign season just started in france. The last year was just exhibition.
