I watched Trump on Piers Morgan last night. I'm not a Donald "guy" , haven't watched his show, and am generally "-meh-" towards his schtik. It's obvious he is running for POTUS. I would classify his diagnosis as AMERICAN DECLINISM and his cure as ECONOMIC NATIONALISM. A bit like Pat Buchanon, but without the "culture warrior" baggage. I was really surprised how much I agreed with him. He wants to play economic hardball with China, Opec & others. He's hit a particular strain of POPULIST thought that is sweeping the American Zeitgeist. And I really think his message could resonate at this EXACT moment in American History. Thoughts from the Peanut Gallery ?

Amazing insight back when pretty much everyone would have considered a Donald Trump presidency to be an absurdity of galactic proportions...myself included.
