The fact that you're still on the fence about this in light of the fact that slavery has been eradicated here is insane.
Where is the confusion coming from?
one word ABORTION
because the unborn is a human being deserving rights I see the killing of now almost 56 million innocent human beings by abortion as worse then an enslavement of an entire race, women not having equal rights to man, Japs losing their rights during the war, blacks not having equal rights. Abortion is worse then all of those things maybe even combined. The fact that this culture is ok with abortion and many fight hard to keep it legal and widely available is why I question if our morals have improved. the sexual revolution is a side note to the horrible practice of abortion.
btw don't try this abortion has decreased in the last 20 years yeah but slavery didn't end in the 90s the civil rights movement was before the 90s WWII wasn't in the 90s, if you were to go and compare when each of the things you brought up ended abortion will be way up sense then. So again to me the killing of millions a year (in our own country) is worse then slavery, womens suffrage, slavery and any other example maybe other then Nazi Germany you can bring up.
if you want to say in the last 20 years we have improved sure I can agree to that, but in the last century have we improved I'm not to sure.
again it all has to do with abortion. This objectifying of women stuff I believe is part of the lowing of morals but doesn't size up to abortion.
oh and even if we are seeing a decrease in abortion people are treating abortion like an afterthought now some political issue that is killing the GOP. So it seems the killing of millions of innocent human beings is being put on the back burner. That would be like knowing Hitler is killing millions of jews and handicap and you saying oh it hurts my favorite parties political platform to try and stop hitler.
