PLEASE, OH PLEASE, OH PLEASE!!!!
Seriously... this is the perfect place for Ted Cruz. Young, originalist, ulta-conservative.
He respects the Constitution and the principles under which is was written.

This was be a MAJOR step toward MAGA!!

Merrick Garland was nominated over 250 days ago, and has yet to see a hearing. I would assume Democrats would delay any new nominees as long as they can, as the GOP has done. The Senate is a dysfunctional mess.

That would be a little hard since the GOP controls the Senate.

Cruz is an egomaniac and the SC is a backwater. Trust me Cruz sees himself as the nominee in 2020.

Robert Bork says hi.

The GOP has control of the US Senate.

BTW, the mid-terms are coming up in 2018. The dems are going to have defend a lot seats in the US Senate, a good many in deep-red states

I think Ted aspires to something other than the SCt. I think he's going to bide his time and try to run for Pres again, he's not that old.

Twenty years on the Court then a successful run for president. Delicious tears from all sides.
